Cloud Systems Administrator / Service Desk Tier 1

Account Manager

We are looking for a great person to join our growing team to develop our client base in the Southern Alberta (AB) market. Your Responsibilities at ADVANTUS360:

  • Proactive prospecting and networking and scheduling of discovery meetings to find opportunities, build relationships and qualify leads
  • Achieve or exceed monthly territory revenue targets
  • Manage territory sales expense budget
  • Work independently in your territory of Southern Alberta to serve clients. Occasional travel expected to clients in southern Alberta.
  • Successfully build relationships with new and existing clients, vendors, and industry peers
  • Understand the Advantus360 resell and services catalogue and collaborate for expansion
  • Follow established sales process and selling system to effectively qualify and manage opportunities into, through and out of your funnel
  • Manage opportunities throughout the entire sales process, including:
    • Customer and resell distribution quoting, including margin negotiation
    • Customer services quotes and contracts in collaboration with clients and fellow team members
    • Customer proposals and solution suites in collaboration with clients and fellow team members
  • Educate existing and prospective clients on new offerings to address business problems

Cloud Systems Administrator / Service Desk Tier1

Remote Work: Hybrid/Flexible 

You are a Modern Systems Administrator with great foundational skills looking to build expertise in the fast-paced Public Cloud Security domain. Your primary goal is to serve as initial contact to our managed services customers, provide resolution in a timely manner and optimize tier 1 response. This position requires curiosity, hard work and exceptional customer service skills.

Your Role & Responsibilities at ADVANTUS360:

  • Service Desk Tier 1 Response for Network, Endpoint & Cloud Security
    • Act as point of first contact for our customer requests
    • Ensure their requests are fulfilled or transitioned to the correct internal resource
    • Update Tier 1 response knowledge base
    • After-hours response as required
  • Managed Service Routines for Network, Endpoint & Cloud Security
    • Complete proactive standard operating procedures
    • Update standard operating procedures as required
    • Work with our Solution Architects and other team members to streamline proactive routines and delivery
  • Operations of our Internal Managed Services systems and tools
    • Administration of internal systems and tools (Azure DevOps/Functions, Logic Monitor, and Palo Alto XSoar)

Job Requirements 

  • Python and/or JavaScript experience
  • Application Programming Interface (API) usage
  • Public Cloud administration experience (AWS/Azure)
  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows & Linux operating systems
  • Diploma, Degree, or 3 years’ work experience related to an IT specialization
  • 1 year of experience in Cloud, System or Network Administrator role
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Container & Container Orchestration experience (such as Kubernetes and Docker)
  • Infrastructure-As-Code (IaC) and CI/CD Pipelines (Terraform, CFTs, etc.)
  • Concurrency Programing (Await/Promises)
  • Microsoft Azure AD / Microsoft365 experience
  • Palo Alto NGFW or Network Security experience
  • Palo Alto Cortex XDR or Endpoint Security experience
  • Networking Fundamentals (Routing & Switching)
